Orange County is home to a Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene program, the first in the county and one of only four in the state. The new dental hygiene program, offered at the Anaheim campus of West Coast University, is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) and has been granted the accreditation status of "initial accreditation".

Our accelerated degree program prepares you to become a Dental Hygienist in under three years. As a dedicated full-time student, you will appreciate the
10-week course system that gets you to your Bachelor’s degree fast. And once you’re admitted to the program, there’s never a wait to get into a required class. As long as you successfully complete your courses, your seat is reserved from the day you start to the day you graduate.

You’ll be fully trained as a dental hygienist in our simulation lab. Our lab workstations are equipped with artificial patients that can be worked on just like real patients.

- General and Oral Pathology
- Care for the Medically Compromised
- Pharmacology
- Nutrition
- Preventative Dentistry and Risk Assessment
- X-ray Operation and Image Interpretation
- Periodontal Disease Assessment and Therapy
- Pain Management including Local Anesthesia and Nitrous Oxide

- Community Dental Health Education
